2. The Lenscript app

2.1 Data on your device

Lenscript stores scripts, folders, tags, settings and recordings only on your device. You can find recordings in the Files app under “On My iPad” or “On My iPhone” → Lenscript. The app does not exchange data with any server. When you delete the app, this data is removed.

2.2 Camera and microphone

Lenscript asks for access to the camera and microphone only when you choose “Record Video”. Picture and sound are turned into a video file on your device only. You can withdraw access at any time in the Settings app.

2.3 Photos

When you save a recording with “Save to Photos”, Lenscript asks for permission to add items to your photo library. The app cannot read your existing photos.

2.4 Import and sharing

Text and files that you import or share to Lenscript from other apps are only taken over on your device. When you share a script or a recording from Lenscript, you choose the destination yourself, for example AirDrop, Messages or Mail. The respective provider is then responsible for any further processing.

2.5 External displays, keyboards and pedals

Lenscript handles output to an external display via cable or AirPlay, as well as input from keyboards and Bluetooth pedals, only locally. No data is sent to me.

2.6 Apple

You download Lenscript from Apple’s App Store. For this, and for device backups to iCloud, Apple processes data under its own responsibility; Apple’s Privacy Policy applies. If you agreed in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides me with aggregated crash and usage statistics that are not linked to you.

3. This website

3.1 Hosting

This website is served through Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit it, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the requested page and information about your browser in order to deliver the page and protect it against attacks. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare processes this data as a processor under its data processing agreement and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for details.

3.2 No cookies, no analytics

This website sets no cookies, loads no third-party content and uses no analytics or tracking tools.

3.3 Contact by email

When you email me, I process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). I delete the message once your request has been handled, unless legal retention obligations apply.

4. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise them, email me at jannis@blankandbold.de.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
